The creators of Searching For Mind each wrote a book arguing that the incredibly intelligent behaviors demonstrated by cells is evidence that they have minds that experience their world.  This is true for all cells, from the tiniest bacteria to the large and powerful neurons of the human brain.  The books are complementary arguments that draw the same conclusion: Every form of life has a mind.

The Secret Language of Cells
by Jon Lieff, MD

Jon's book describes the myriad of complex communications that occur between cells and within cells.  He makes the case that two cells communicating with each other requires a language that both cells understand, concluding that the ability to comprehend and use language is evidence that cells have minds that engage with other cells and their external world.

Cellular Mind
by Michael Rowen

Mike's book discusses anomalous evidence from modern neuroscience and cellular biology which suggests that cells are not only the building blocks of our bodies, but are also the building blocks of our minds.  Cellular Mind Theory (CMT) asserts that each of the 30 trillion cells of your body has a mind, which they electromagnetically combine to produce your human scale mind.
